Are you passionate about training and looking to lead a successful APAC team? Do you have experience implementing and developing a training strategy cross-regionally? If so, we are hiring an APAC Training Managerfor a 12 month fixed term contract (Maternity leave) focused on the development and implementation of the training strategy across the organization to ensure that customer support representatives are equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills to complete their tasks successfully. The role is based in Sydney and oversees training activities in Sydney, Singapore, and Auckland.

In this role, you will lead a small training team to enhance and improve the training system and structure including further design and development. You will be reporting to the EU/APAC Training Manager.

What you'll do:

Manage and lead employee development through clear goal setting, training plans, regular coaching and performance reviews and recruitment of new talents.
Inspire team members to pursue a culture of customer centricity and continuous improvement
Ensure delivery of world-class training for Vrbo products and personal development in a timely manner.
Work closely with regional CS leadership to identify training and development needs and implement suitable training programs
Determine training priorities
Organize the feedback and return of experience loops
Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and periodically and report on them
Oversee the creation and update of training materials
Maintain compliance with Global Training requirements
Ensure efficient communication with outside vendor manager and outside vendor training about upcoming training
Partner with Global Training and Global Product teams about upcoming product launches to understand the scope and meet the deadlines.
Represent Customer Experience group on cross-functional product and project teams as assigned
Assist senior management with special projects

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
2+ years of experience as training manager or equivalent experience in project management or in customer operations
Consistent record in designing and executing successful training programs
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods
Exposure to change with a willingness and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task and delegate effectively, and produce both individual and team results
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Effectively plan, organize and monitor performance to ensure excellent customer experience delivery
Passionate about developing people and promoting the company
Consistent track record of working effectively with remote teams
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint
Proficient with Articulate 360 is a plus
International sometimes travel required
