About the Role The JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting for an experienced and results-driven Safety Operations Manager to join our team in Melbourne, VIC, on a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting directly to the General Manager – People & Performance, you will be working closely with the Rivalea leadership team as well as key site leaders across our Pork Division. The Safety Operations Manager will drive strategy and ensure that effective WHS policies, procedures, systems, and services are in place to maintain the highest level of safety compliance.
Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates willing to relocate to Melbourne.
Your key responsibilities will include: Partner with site leadership team to develop key priorities Ensure all facilities maintain continuous "audit ready" state of compliance Oversee effective implementation and utilisation of risk assessment and risk prediction processes ensuring these are effective at identifying and mitigating risk Provide content and direction in regards to safety/health/wellbeing training Report as necessary for sites and executives to drive continuous improvement Participate in WHS and workers compensation projects Provision of technical and strategic direction Maintain and continuously improve the WHS Management system Maintain and oversee WHS systems Manage WHS budgets and forecasting processes Ensure annual objectives for self and team are regularly reviewed and met About You The ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications in WHS or related field Extensive experience in a similar role in a fast-paced, multisite FMCG environment Sound understanding of WHS Legislation and Codes of Practice Demonstrated experience in developing and executing complex WHS strategic plans that encompass compliance, risk management, systems, and safety leadership Sound knowledge and understanding of Australian state workers compensation schemes and self-insurance High level of emotional intelligence and communication skills with an ability to positively influence the behaviour of others and drive sustainable organisational change Interested?
