Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia / New Zealand provides contract GMP testing to human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and complimentary medicine manufactures, as well as an extensive range of SPF and other cosmetics testing, both in-vitro and in-vivo in accordance with a range of local and international standards. The range of testing includes microbiological and chemistry on raw materials, in process and finished products, complemented by product formulation services. We operate out of sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland, which are all GMP licensed by local regulators and are accredited to ISO 17025. In addition to the provision of world class analytical testing, the laboratories also provide consultative services to their clients made available by a team of highly qualified scientists.
Job Description The role of the Analyst-SPT is to perform routine testing under Sterility/AMS ID Department. This includes but is not limited to disinfectant testing, sterility testing, LAL testing, ID testing, antibiotic testing as well as any non-routine/project work. The analyst will also be required to be involved in data review, maintenance of equipment calibration and servicing as well as taking charge of projects. The analyst is expected to follow procedures as directed by the Team Leader and SPT Manager.
Responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:
Perform sterility testing and reading as required - routine testing and reading as well as validation and results interpretation.
Perform endotoxin testing as required - routine testing as well as validation per SOP.
Perform stasis testing.
Perform seal integrity testing.
Perform media fill incubation testing.
Perform non-routine project work as per clients approved protocol.
Review and check worksheets for completeness and data entry.
Participate in exception investigation as required.
As assigned, perform periodic equipment calibration as specified in relevant SOPs.
Participate in permanent improvement projects (PIP) such as LEAN lab.
Laboratory cleaning and maintenance and other duties as required by the supervisor.
Review and authorise test results when qualified.
Work with QA unit to ensure data is accurate and quality control measures are accurate.
Other duties as directed by management.
Act in accordance with the Eurofins Code of Ethics, and all other relevant policies and procedures, as updated from time to time.
Qualifications Diploma in Science/Laboratory Techniques (or similar) or equivalent experience preferred.
Tertiary qualifications not essential but will be valued.
Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Experience in microbiological testing techniques such as plating out, dilutions etc. Some experience in aseptic technique and working in a sterile condition would be an advantage.
Experience in a commercial laboratory will be an advantage.
Experience in using different equipment/instrumental and sample preparation techniques.
Knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel.

Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks as required.
