The role: Opportunities exist for Analysts Level 1 (fixed term contract until Dec 2024) to join our team at our Kensington lab. As a Level I Analyst, you will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and food testing. You will also conduct a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques. If the test is automated you may be required to analyze data and report results.
Your day-to-day will include but is not limited to:
Preparing Microbiological media and standardsPerforming basic testing and sample preparation, utilizing aseptic techniqueAssisting with writing and reviewing documentation such as laboratory methods and standard operating proceduresCoordinating with internal clientsPerforming basic calibrationsWhat's needed? To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
Experience in Instrumental techniques is essentialExperience in Labware/LIMS (Desirable)Understanding the principles of tests conductedThe ability to be an effective trainerLaboratory experience preferably in food testingSafety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
