The role: Opportunities exist for Analysts Level 1 (fixed term contract until Dec 2024) to join our team at our Kensington lab. As a Level I Analyst, you will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and food testing. You will also conduct a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques. If the test is automated you may be required to analyze data and report results.
Your day-to-day will include but is not limited to:
Preparing Microbiological media and standards Performing basic testing and sample preparation, utilizing aseptic technique Assisting with writing and reviewing documentation such as laboratory methods and standard operating procedures Coordinating with internal clients Performing basic calibrations What's needed? To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
Experience in Instrumental techniques is essential Experience in Labware/LIMS (Desirable) Understanding the principles of tests conducted The ability to be an effective trainer Laboratory experience preferably in food testing Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
