About us The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role The role is part of CAV's Underquoting Taskforce, which addresses the unfair and deceptive practice of underquoting that can mislead prospective buyers in the residential real estate market. The taskforce aims to understand the drivers and behaviours behind underquoting and to develop strategies that eliminate these practices, thereby boosting consumer confidence in CAV's regulation of the real estate industry. Analysts in this role focus exclusively on underquoting, conducting a range of data and information analysis tasks and projects. Their objective is to produce intelligence outputs that support CAV's strategic and operational goals. Analysts help to ensure that the Underquoting Taskforce's compliance and enforcement activities are intelligence-led. Analysts are required to examine allegations of underquoting and identify appropriate matters for compliance and enforcement action.
About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to:
Contribute to data and information analysis to produce quality usable intelligence products to inform compliance decision making for CAV strategic priorities, operational policy and planning within CAV.Participate in the Underquoting Taskforce's triage operations, examining allegations of underquoting and identifying appropriate matters for compliance and enforcement action.Contribute to and help produce complex risk-based analyses and reports, providing high quality insights and innovative thinking on current and emerging issues.Support effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote information sharing, partnerships, and common understanding in order to contribute to the continuous improvement of intelligence products.For specific responsibilities please review the attached position description.
