There are continuous opportunities to learn across each of the deal advisory service lines, build strong relationships with diverse client groups and expand networks nationally and globally at all stages of your career.About the RoleWe are currently looking for an Analyst to join our Brisbane Deal Advisory team. The sorts of tasks you can expect to undertake include:Analysing company operations and financial statementsCompleting industry researchUsing research facilities including Capital IQ to identify comparable companies and calculate relevant valuation metrics (including normalisation adjustments, as appropriate)Constructing, reviewing and amending financial modelsApplying valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow, capitalised maintainable earnings and option pricing modelsWriting reports in Word and PowerPoint – refer to our publicly available Independent Expert's ReportsAssisting with transaction management, including populating and maintaining data roomsCommunicating with clients and other transaction advisors to progress engagementsAbout YouExperience in a professional services firm (in an area such as deal advisory/corporate finance, audit or business services) or a relevant commercial roleCommercial acumenThe ability to analyse and interpret financial statements (e.g. Annual Reports) to enable:conclusions to be formed on the financial performance and financial position of a company; andnormalisation adjustments to be applied to compare financial performance across similar entitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills that enable results to be communicated conciselyThe ability to devise solutions to abstract problems that have no precedentThe ability to identify knowledge gaps and work with senior staff to develop strategies to plug these gapsA genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service and utilising your unique skillsA cover letter that clearly explains why you believe you have the skills needed to succeed in this role and understanding of BDO's Deal Advisory teamWhy BDO?Working for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.
