Lead our Allied Health team to engage in research and innovation that delivers strong health outcomes for our community.
The Role:The Allied Health Lead - Research and Innovation position leads and drives support for Allied Health staff to engage in clinical research and innovation activities.
This includes coordinating multidisciplinary research programs like the Festival of Ideas, assisting with research governance and ethics applications, supporting research education activities, and forums to showcase research in the organisation.
You will need:Extensive clinical practice expertise and research experience in hospitals and health systems, and a clear understanding of the issues specific to the AHP workforce.Demonstrated experience effecting change in larger organisations and across multidisciplinary groups, developing consistent processes that achieve targets, delivering clear reporting to leadership to demonstrate achievements, and driving systemic change to support high quality research and innovation activities across the organization.Highly developed expertise and knowledge of all aspects of health research, including research governance, ethics, methodologies, statistics, evaluation frameworks, preparation of manuscripts for publication, and formal presentation, and the ability to use this expertise to support a wide range of staff to engage in research activities.Highly developed expertise and knowledge of innovation frameworks and methodologies, and demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and evaluating innovation activities, and the ability to use this expertise to create a culture of innovation across Allied Health.Highly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, together with the ability to develop and maintain networks and liaise with professional bodies and a broad range of internal and external health professionals.Details of appointment: Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $120,114 - 130,181 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.Benefits available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways.Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
