Services are based in Port Augusta and Whyalla, with regular outreach clinics held in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Maree and Leigh Creek. We offer a wide range of centre-based, in-home and community-based services to people of all ages and tailor our services to best meet our client needs.Relocation and Accommodation Assistance:Financial assistance for relocation may be available for eligible applicants for appointments prior to 31 December 2024. Further details regarding this can be found here.Accommodation support may be available - conditions apply.Support and Training:Supervision – as per the Regional LHN Allied Health Supervision Framework.Access to Professional Development funding.Support with transitioning into professional practice (AHP1) – through the Transition to Professional Practice Program for Allied Health Professionals.Scholarships may be available to undertake a Certificate of Rural General Practice/Graduate Diploma of Rural Generalist Practice via the Allied Health Rural Generalist Pathway (AHRGP).Access to contextual Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training (specific to the region) and access to Aboriginal Liaison Officers and Aboriginal Health Practitioners.Links with Rural Support Service (RSS) – for useful resources and professional support and/or Clinical Governance.About the Role:Under the mentorship of an experienced Dietitian, the Regional Dietitian will play a key role in delivering a holistic and integrated range of health services tailored to the unique needs of the local community. As part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, including health professionals and service providers from various sectors, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact through a blend of preventative care, early intervention, treatment, and ongoing evaluation.About You:Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant allied health profession and be eligible for full membership of Dietitians Australia.Provide a broad range of clinical services, selecting, adopting and applying methods, procedures and standards which are generally well established and straightforward.Exercise professional judgment within prescribed areas, with support from a Clinical Senior to verify methods and results.Provide straightforward clinical services, including one-on-one, group and health promotion activities.Manage and prioritise personal workload.Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
