Allied health work closely with medical, nursing, technical and operational colleagues, and community partners to optimise patient recovery and well-being. The allied health workforce is supported to achieve clinical excellence through a commitment to improving quality, creating continuous improvement opportunities and a culture of learning and development.Our Nutrition and Dietetics Service delivers expert nutritional care to a range of adult and paediatric client groups through inpatient, outpatient and community programs. Nutrition and Dietetics also provide a Home Enteral Nutrition Service and work closely with food services to ensure the provision of high-quality nutritious patient-centred menus. Our Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service Dietitians work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.About the role:Contribute to patient care as part of the Allied Health team, by providing clinical support tasks under the direction and supervision of an Allied Health professional.Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.Provide basic education on a defined range of topics to patients or groups of patients.Actively contribute to a multidisciplinary team through departmental and team meetings, case conferences and other team projects and activities.Contribute to quality improvement activities with increasing ownership within scope of practice under guidance of the allied health professional.About you:Mandatory qualification/s: NilThis position requires the incumbent to undertake manual handling tasks that may include pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, reaching above shoulder height and reaching to the floor.Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent would be highly regarded.What we offer:Salary information:Total remuneration value of up to $82,130 p.a. is comprised of:An hourly rate between $34.53 - $36.30 p.h.12.75% employer superannuation contribution17.5% leave loadingOther benefits include:Professional Development OpportunitiesEducation Opportunities – Study and ResearchWork-Life Balance, Variety and FlexibilityGenerous Salary SacrificingPaid Parental LeaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Discounted Private Health InsuranceFitness PassportVaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements:It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.How to apply:To submit your application / expression of interest, please include:Your current CV or resume, including referees.A short 1 to 2 page cover letter outlining how your experience, abilities and knowledge align with the organisational values, accountabilities and "How you will be Assessed" section of the Role Description.Include any additional forms / evidence as attached or listed on the Role Description.Please note pre-employment checks will be carried out on applicants recommended for appointment/employment which may include confirming your qualifications, professional registration/s, previous employment history (including any previous disciplinary action), criminal history, Australian work status and vaccination requirements.Applications close: Thursday, 28 November 2024
