We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.Tertiary qualifications in nursing, Social work, Psychology or Allied Health and holding a current registration with APHRA (where applicable) in area of practice.Previous experience working with people who have identified drug and/or alcohol related issues and demonstrated commitment to own professional development to maintain, improve and broaden knowledge, expertise and competence within the drug and alcohol setting.Understanding of harm minimisation and how it is used within the drug and alcohol setting.Knowledge of the drug classifications, intoxication, withdrawal and medicated assisted opioid treatment.Ability to effectively use critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems in counselling and crisis interventions.Demonstrated knowledge of conducting assessment, case planning, treatment and discharge planning.Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment including the ability to communicate in a variety of different settings and circumstances.Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate in a variety of different settings and circumstances, including computer literacy and electronic medical records.Evidence of a current class C driver's licence.Employment Type: This is a part-time permanent opportunity.For further details, please refer to the Position Description or alternatively contact Angela McGuire at ****** for a confidential discussion.Closing Date: 18/11/2024Equal Opportunity, Diversity, and InclusionAWH prioritises Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Ethical Practice.
