Position: Agriculture and Cropping Mobile Plant Operator Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $67,400 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Carrathool NSW 2711

Our client is seeking an Agriculture and Cropping Mobile Plant Operator to join their station located in Carrathool, New South Wales.

Tasks Required Include: Operating and maintaining mobile machinery and plant including tractors, ploughs, cultivators, seed drills, rotary tillers, disc harrows, chemical spray units and harvesters. Ability and licenced to drive tractors and other heavy machinery both on farm and NSW roads. Capable of undertaking seed bed preparation for a variety of crops. Utilizing sowing equipment to plant seeds at precise intervals and depths in the soil. Skilled in agronomy to monitor and manage cotton, wheat and maize crops through the season. Ability to select the correct agricultural chemicals and fertilisers, calibrate rates and apply the required dose to the crop during the growing season. Monitoring and adjusting machinery settings including irrigation equipment to optimize performance and ensure proper functioning. Some stock husbandry and livestock management including operating machinery for feeding, watering and caring for livestock. Maintaining accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs, plus ensuring all equipment is clean and in good working order before and after use. Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on all plant, equipment, fences, quarters, roadways, etc., to ensure operational efficiency. Maintain company health and safety program. Licenced to drive a truck and a motor bike. Ability to work as a member of a small team, give and take orders, and participate in management planning meetings. Requirements: Certificate II, III or higher in relevant field or at least one (1) year of relevant experience. At least five (5) years of relevant experience in the Agriculture industry.
