About the role Support our Aged Care clients to remain living independently in their own homes through the provision of basic domestic assistance and personal care support across Adelaide's southern, eastern, western and central suburbs. Regular travel between shift sites will be required in your own vehicle, and travel will be reimbursed.
You will help our clients remain living independently at home between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm assisting various clients throughout the day. We have flexible casual positions available.
Key Responsibilities Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light cleaningPersonal care including grooming and showeringCommunity access to medical appointments and social activitiesAssistance with tasks and routines outlined by an approved medical professionalBuild rapport and collaborate effectively with clients to establish positive relationshipsSkills & Experience A current First Aid Certificate and CPR CertificationAn Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle with comprehensive car insuranceCertificate III in Individual Support or other relevant qualification and experience (preferred)Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationshipsPassionate about making a positive impact in our ageing communityTo be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
