The OpportunityWe are seeking an Adviser to join our Diversity & Inclusion team on a full-time basis.
This role is being offered as a 12-month maximum term contract, and can be based from any of our Australian CBD offices (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth).Reporting to the Senior Manager, Diversity & Inclusion, East, you will play an important role in delivering the firm's D&I strategy across the region.
You will be skilled in collaboration with a strong commitment to building diverse and inclusive workplaces and experience implementing initiatives within a corporate environment.This role will see you:Support in developing and delivering strategic initiatives and regional projects.Manage the global D&I onboarding process, including developing and updating induction materials, newsletters, and the D&I mailbox.Write, produce and present regular communications on our D&I programmes to promote awareness and celebrate success in line with the firm's communication strategy.Build and maintain relationships with external partners and clients, leveraging opportunities for hosting, sponsorship, and collaboration.Coordinate feedback from D&I events/initiatives, using data to suggest improvements.Maintain existing global and regional reporting, benchmarks and award submissions, working with the team to identify new opportunities to increase the firm's recognition in the market.Respond to client requests for D&I information, leveraging internal relationships within HR, business development and our client relationship teams.Lead annual action planning and act as a subject matter expert for diversity networks in APAC.Support the development and delivery of the mental health strategy, as well as global mental health initiatives and events.Maintain the D&I and Health and Wellbeing SharePoint pages.
To be successful in this role, you will have:Previous experience in a position dedicated in full or in part to D&I.The ability to work independently and effectively as part of a regional team.A commitment to building diverse and inclusive workplaces and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive results.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities.A high level of discretion, diplomacy and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.A willingness to work additional hours as required to account for time zones and business need.What you can expect from us:We're a world leading international law firm with a global team of over 5,000 professionals.
