NAMBOUR An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration Officer providing high quality customer service to patients and staff across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. The incumbent performs a range of administrative and operational activities to support the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme within the Integrated Business Management team, offering financial subsidy to approved applicants who are required to travel to other health facilities outside of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service where services cannot be provided.Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. The SCHHS is a values-based organisation. We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.The Administration Officer provides high quality customer service to patients and staff across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. The incumbent performs a range of administrative and operational activities to support the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme within the Integrated Business Management team.The Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme offers financial subsidy to approved applicants who are required to travel to other health facilities outside of the SCHHS where services cannot be provided.Key Responsibilities include:Provide professional customer focused service to patients and staff who utilise the services of the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme Office using a high level of communication via phone, emails etc.Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience, and a positive service focus.Understand Queensland Health's policy regarding the Patient Transfer Subsidy Scheme and the Hospital's duty of care obligations regarding patient transfers to negotiate and communicate policy decisions in a diverse cultural environment for clients with a wide range of acute and chronic health issues.Remuneration value up to $94,810 p.a., comprising salary between $74,722 - $83,097 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO3).
