A diverse combination of evergreen and deciduous trees, Canberra's urban forest provides important ecological and amenity advantages for its inhabitants and wildlife.Specific responsibilities include: Planting, watering, and follow-up maintenance of newly planted trees.Maintenance of established trees.Removal of dead and dying trees.Administration of the Urban Forest Act 2023.Assessment of tree-related claims.Provision of technical advice on tree-related matters.Our team takes pride in maintaining our urban forest, and you will play an important role in delivering this service to ensure the biodiversity and natural beauty of our city is preserved.About The OpportunityApplicants are invited to fill the role of Administration Officer Operations. A temporary vacancy for up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency is available working from the Dickson Office Building (an ABW space).
The Administration Officer will provide administrative support to the Operations team, which may include assisting with the collation and maintenance of data, processing public requests (including phone discussions with residents), minute taking, and processing invoices.
