Accounts Payable Officer

Our client are a mid tier construction company who work across the civil and construction industries.
They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join their team in North Sydney on a permanent basis.
This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable processes.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Experience in the Construction or infrastructure industries is essential.
Key Responsibilities: Manage correspondence with suppliers and subcontractors, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
Process paperwork through all lifecycle stages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Reconcile supplier and subcontractor statements to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date.
Perform transaction entry tasks, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
Produce accounts payable reports to support financial analysis and decision-making.
Undertake ad hoc duties as required, contributing to team objectives.
Skills and Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar accounts payable role within the construction or infrastructure industries.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address discrepancies.
Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships within and outside the organization.
