ABOUT THE ROLE Location: Smithfield, NSW   As an Accounts Payable Officer with us, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payments, keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities: Invoice Processing: Accurately process a high volume of invoices and ensure they are matched to purchase orders and receipts, adhering to company policies.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with our suppliers and vendors, handling inquiries and resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
Payments & Reconciliations: Ensure that all payments are processed on time, and assist in reconciling accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
Monthly Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts payable reports and summaries, providing insights into financial performance.
Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
Assist with internal and external audits when required.
Expense Tracking: Monitor and report on travel and other business-related expenses, ensuring all claims are in line with company guidelines.
What We're Looking For: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally within a large-scale operation or transport-related industry.
Accuracy and thoroughness are critical in this role.
You'll need to be comfortable working with large volumes of data and processing payments swiftly without compromising quality.
Experience with accounting software (preferably with ERP systems) and a strong understanding of financial transactions.
Knowledge of systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus.
The ability to identify discrepancies or issues within accounts and take the initiative to resolve them promptly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors.
