Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: Support the Finance Manager in overseeing all financial and business planning functions for the Bullion division, including accounting, controls, financial and management reporting, as well as planning and budgeting.
Monitor and ensure the accurate processing of sales orders and purchase order payments.
Conduct regular reviews of subledger movements against the general ledger to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
Provide weekly reports on working capital to ensure optimal cash flow management.
Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Assist the Finance Manager in meeting tax compliance and reporting responsibilities.
Ensure timely and precise completion of month-end activities for review by the Finance Manager.
Foster strong relationships with the internal inventory controller, business operations team, and key group stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvements to internal controls, processes, and reporting to better serve internal stakeholders.
You….. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience in the following: Relevant degree in accounting or economics and working towards CA or CPA qualifications with 3+ years hands all round accounting experience.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is an advantage but not essential.
Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
Overseeing intercompany reconciliations for multiple divisions.
Finalising month-end trial balance and management accounts, BAS ensuring alignment, compliance and completeness in line with group reporting deadlines.
As required liaising with external auditors, managing audit requests, and escalating issues to the Finance Manager when appropriate.
Providing commentary for P&L and Balance Sheet variances.
Participating in monthly inventory stock takes.
Exceptional written & verbal communication skills with a bubbly and energetic approach to work.
