Job Description
To assist the Senior Managers & Senior Accountants in working on a portfolio of clients on a range of compliance and preliminary business advisory matters being mainly in a supporting role.
The role includes accounting, taxation and other business advisory support tasks which could be expected to be carried out by an employee in your position.
Prepare accounts and workpapers for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Sole Traders, while assisting with general ledger reconciliations and year-end adjustments.
Support senior staff for a portfolio of business clients in budget and cash flow preparation, funding applications, tax and structure advice, management accounting reporting, and evaluation of client information systems.
Handle a variety of income tax matters, including income tax return preparation for different structures (company, trust, partnership, individual) and taxation planning and forecasting.
Assist with BAS preparation and various indirect taxes, including Fringe Benefits Tax, Land Tax, and Payroll Tax, while supporting senior staff on employment-related taxation matters and monthly compliance obligations like PAYG.
Maintain knowledge of client software solutions, stay updated on relevant legislative changes affecting client business and personal affairs, and diligently record time spent on client tasks.
