Overview: The Accountant is responsible for recording all payroll related activity in the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and accounts are reconciled.
They will partner with Workforce Management to prepare Wage budgeting, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Responsibilities:Perform month and year end closing activities and payroll accruals (vacation, social securities, pension, wage tax etc).Calculate Inter Department and Inter Company Payroll Reclasses.Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of all payroll movements and accruals.Liaise with the HR and C&B teams on issues, policy changes, legal and regulatory requirements, to ensure any business changes are reflected correctly in accurate and complete accounting.Prepare Annual Wage budgets, monthly forecasts and variance analysis.Calculation, forecasting and reconciliation of field level bonus payments.Calculation, forecasting and reconciliation of Wages associated with Store E-comm fulfilment.Participate and prepare for internal and external audits.Prepare Wage reporting to Business partners on KPIs and Financial results.Complete Payroll and Wage Analysis as required to provide insights to the business.Comply with all internal control procedures and SOX requirements and improve (SOX) internal controls.Continuous assessment of performance efficiency and profit improvement opportunities.Liaise on a variety of ad hoc projects.Act as strategic partner, who monitors and anticipates on changes that impact both the payroll and business needs and requirements.
