The Role:
The Wholesale Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing the collectables wholesale business. The role will drive revenue by nurturing relationships with existing partners, securing new wholesale clients, and implementing strategic initiatives to increase market share and improve margins within the wholesale channel. This role is central to aligning wholesale operations, and you'll play a key role advocating and giving feedback across Customer Experience, Product Innovation, and Strategic Partnerships.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for key wholesale accounts, delivering proactive and exceptional client service to build loyalty.Develop and maintain deep knowledge of each client's business, market segment, and purchasing patterns to better tailor offerings and engagement.Work collaboratively with clients to anticipate needs, recommend product assortments, and support their unique business objectives.Conduct regular client check-ins and quarterly business reviews to assess satisfaction, gather feedback, and reinforce partnerships.Identify and strategically pursue new wholesale clients that align with the business's growth objectives and brand values.Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to proactively target high-potential prospects.Build and present tailored proposals to prospective clients, negotiating terms that optimize profitability and support mutually beneficial partnerships.Establish and nurture relationships with industry contacts to expand the wholesale network, attending trade shows and networking events as needed.Partner with the Head of Sales & Marketing to create and implement a wholesale sales strategy that aligns with our product plans and broader business objectives.Coordinate closely with the Operations and Purchasing teams to ensure accurate, timely fulfillment of wholesale orders, managing client expectations around product availability.Establish processes for order tracking and fulfillment updates, maintaining visibility for clients and ensuring an efficient supply chain.Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or wholesale, especially of retail products or FMCG products.Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and other sales management tools.Ability to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events, both domestically and internationally.Proven capability in cultivating strong relationships and providing excellent service that meets the unique needs of each wholesale client.Strong track record in sales and business development, with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.Skilled in data analysis, with the ability to interpret metrics and translate them into actionable insights and strategies.Passion and knowledge for collectibles or a similar niche market is a plus, enhancing client engagement and sales outcomes.Exceptional organizational and communication skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.The Good Stuff!
