What is the role?
The Gallagher Insolvency and Turnaround (‘I&T’) practice is a dedicated team providing specialist insurance advice and solutions to the insolvency and turnaround sectors, with particular focus on servicing insolvency practitioners, banks, financiers and turnaround managers.
As an Account Manager in our highly-collaborative Perth-based team, you will cohesively manage a portfolio of client accounts. This role will see you work on local appointments for national firms and liaise with counterparts in other regions to ensure consistent national service delivery. You will focus on developing and maintaining strong client relationships, working on the larger complex and challenging appointments, and maximising revenue for Gallagher.
Key accountabilities include:
Maintaining strong relationships and trust with an existing portfolio of insolvency practitioner accounts, based on demonstrated ability to manage client accounts both smoothly and professionally
Assist managers with the management of large &/or trading corporate insolvency appointments, underwriting submissions and policy processing
Ensuring client needs are identified and met by taking a proactive approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients
Keep informed of industry trends by attending internal and/or external meetings on topical issues
Maintaining an awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters and participate actively with claims personnel in the negotiation of equitable claims settlements on behalf of clients
Generate initiatives toward maximising account profitability
Developing and maintaining meaningful working relationships with insurers and Gallagher subject matter experts

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
A background in general commercial broking or underwriting with demonstrated technical competency in a broad range of general commercial insurance products
Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualified and preferably Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) qualified
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work in a fast paced reactive environment where requirements quickly change
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Positive work attitude and ability to build successful working relationships with people at all levels
