Our Pastoral Care team provides a range of services and strategies to support the social and emotional wellbeing of all students, helping them to be the best they can be.Find out more about our school by visiting .The RoleAs an Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO), you will play a key role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, their families, teachers, the school, and the wider community.
You will ideally help share knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, language, and culture, fostering a deeper connection and respect within the school environment.AIEOs act as a vital liaison between the community and the school, working to create an education program that addresses both the educational and cultural needs of students.
You will provide essential mentoring and pastoral care, particularly for students at risk, ensuring their engagement and success within the school community.AIEOs also support teachers in implementing the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.
Ideal candidates will ideally have a strong connection to Aboriginal culture and the ability to build positive relationships with families and the local community.
