2nd Line IT & Cloud Engineering Specialist - Service Provider Remote • Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
Are you a skilled IT professional with a passion for cloud technologies?
We are partnered with the UK's leading Telecommunications Service Provider that is seeking a dedicated 2nd Line IT & Cloud Engineering Specialist to join their 24x7 support team in Sheffield.

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on cloud environments.
You will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, maintaining systems, and contributing to the continuous improvement of services.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide 24x7 2nd line support, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents and issues.
Offer training and process briefings where necessary, ensuring team members are well-informed.
Take ownership of your performance, including mandatory training and compliance.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Thrive under pressure, delivering high-quality results even in challenging situations.
Stay curious and eager to learn, constantly seeking out new technologies to enhance our capabilities.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Service Desk operations and ITIL-aligned processes.
Solid experience in troubleshooting and supporting various IT systems and environments.
Preferred Experience:
Microsoft Azure: Proficiency in managing and supporting Azure environments.
System Center Operation Manager: Experience with monitoring and management.
Anti-malware Solutions: Web & email filtering, anti-virus protection.
AOVPN, DirectAccess: Expertise in secure remote access technologies.
Citrix Virtual Desktop and Apps: Hands-on experience with the latest Citrix technologies including NetScaler ADC.
Microsoft Exchange: Including integration with Microsoft 365.
SAN Technologies: Experience with NetApp, HP 3PAR, Dell PowerStore, and Metro Node.
Server Technologies: Familiarity with HP Synergy, Dell PowerEdge.
Automation Technologies: Skills in PowerShell, HashiCorp Terraform, Ansible.
ITIL Foundation: Certification preferred.
Salary & Benefits:
