About the Opportunity Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Third Engineer is accountable for carrying out repairs maintenance work and performing duties in the engine room and around the vessel as instructed by the First Engineer. You may also be asked to assist with training cadets if required.

To be successful in this role you will have:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. AMSA-issued Certificate of Competency as Engineer Watchkeeper (Motor) with the following additional qualifications: Security Awareness Training Current Passport AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness Valid Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) Confined Space Entry & Rescue Working Safely at Heights Appropriate seagoing experience in the previous three years This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a Federal police check as an essential selection component for this role.
